Salsaband SABROSO

SABROSO is a welcome guest at (salsa) party's: a swinging groove of three percussionists, bass and piano, four horns and a singer make sure that you can't sit still for a long time! The various latin-american styles we play make sure that there is a choice for everybody. You will hear cumbia, bomba, plena, calypso, merengue, cuban son, and of course a lot of salsa passing by. Partly responsible for new repertoire and the co-perfectioning of it are (over the years) musicians as Larry Harlow, Jan-Luc van Eendenburg (Saoco), Jaime Rodriguez (Rumbata), GerritJan Binkhorst (o.a. Rumbata and the Cubop City Big Band), and Pedro Luis Pardo (Saoco, Rumbata).

The past years SABROSO played many times like at: "Salsa aan de gracht" 1998 and 1999 (Amsterdam),"Oosterparkfestival"(Amsterdam), "Multiplex" (Haarlem); worldmusic-stages as Akhnaton and the Muiderpoorttheater (Amsterdam); salsa-dance studios throughout the country (Ziko's in Arnhem, Peter Verbiest in Hoorn, and Salseros in Den Haag). On top of all this the band played at numerous parties such as weddings and receptions.
